ASICS has unveiled the SUPERBLAST™ 2, one of the brand’s most anticipated new shoe models of the year. The latest version combines advanced materials and design to improve runner comfort and performance.
After the success of the first version of the ASICS SUPERBLAST, there has been a lot of discussion on various forums about when the second version will be released on the market. Already last week we saw ASICS release a teaser and now they have also released more detailed information about the new shoe model.
ASICS SUPERBLAST 2 – A Leap In Performance Technology
ASICS SUPERBLAST™ 2 comes as an upgrade of its predecessor and features the most advanced FF TURBO™ PLUS foam. This innovative midsole material, previously reserved for ASICS elite models such as METASPEED™ SKY PARIS and METASPEED™ EDGE PARIS, delivers an 8.0% weight reduction, 6.0% increase in softness and an impressive 8.2% increase in energy return compared to the previous FF BLAST™ TURBO foam.
In addition, the shoe has a lower layer of FF BLAST™ PLUS ECO cushioning. This layer contains about 24% bio-based materials, which provides softer landings and more dynamic toe-offs. These improvements contribute to a shoe that not only saves energy but also prepares the runner for subsequent performances.
Improved Comfort and Traction
SUPERBLAST™ 2 has been redesigned with a new upper that improves breathability and overall comfort. It also incorporates ASICSGRIP™ technology, an advanced rubber compound originally developed for off-road shoes. This provides superior grip and comfort on a variety of surfaces, making every run smoother and more stable.
The upper of the shoe features an ENGINEERED WOVEN UPPER made from a single piece of lightweight woven fabric with high breathability. This design provides optimal comfort and minimal distractions, allowing the runner to fully focus on their performance.

SUPERBLAST™ 2 weighs approximately 249 grams (size US9) and is now available for purchase at a price of $200.
