Adidas now unveils its latest innovation in running footwear, the SUPERNOVA series, engineered to set new benchmarks in comfort for daily runners. This revamped collection features the adida SUPERNOVA RISE, accompanied by two additional models – the SUPERNOVA SOLUTION and SUPERNOVA STRIDE. Central to this new line is the Dreamstrike+ super-foam midsole, coupled with a novel Support Rod System, redefining comfort with its advanced cushioning and support.
Research conducted by adidas, involving 1,300 female runners, underscored comfort as a crucial factor in choosing running shoes. In response, adidas’s Product and Design teams have harnessed this insight, along with extensive expertise in crafting performance footwear, to create this groundbreaking series.
The SUPERNOVA RISE, debuting in both women’s and men’s sizes, promises distraction-free running through its exceptional comfort.
Advanced Features of the SUPERNOVA Series
The SUPERNOVA series stands out with its Dreamstrike+ midsole, an evolution of the LIGHTSTRIKE PRO technology used in the acclaimed ADIZERO range.
This new foam offers superior comfort and cushioning, forming the entire midsole in the SUPERNOVA RISE and SOLUTION, and complementing an EVA compound midsole in the forefoot of the SUPERNOVA STRIDE.

Further enhancing the series, the Support Rod System, inspired by foot motion dynamics, integrates into the outsole for balanced support and smooth transitions. Notably, the SUPERNOVA SOLUTION’s Support Rod System differs slightly, with dual middle rods for extra support, ideal for runners seeking more stability.
Other notable features include the Comfort Heel Fit, blending cushioning foam with soft textile for optimal comfort and support, and an engineered sandwich mesh upper, tailored to meet diverse runner needs.
The SUPERNOVA RISE sports a nature-inspired colorway, featuring Black and Aurora with Semi-Green Spark accents, symbolizing the energy of bioluminescence.
Priced at €150 / $140, the SUPERNOVA RISE is available from December 1, 2023, while the SUPERNOVA SOLUTION and STRIDE models will follow on February 22, 2024.
