HOKA has just released their latest model, the Skyward X. This new addition continues the brand’s legacy of pioneering in the maximalist footwear category, offering enhanced cushioning and state-of-the-art carbon technology.

Hoka has launched several models of running shoes already this year, with the Hoka Cielo X1 being one of the most interesting of the new products. Now comes another model where the X stands for the brand’s technology with carbon fiber plate in the midsole when the new Skyward X is launched.

A Leap Forward in Comfort and Performance

The Skyward X is more than just a running shoe; it represents a significant leap forward in both comfort and performance. Designed for daily running, it combines HOKA’s foundational design principles with cutting-edge advancements, including a revolutionary carbon fiber plate system.

This combination promises a dynamic, responsive, and stable ride, making every run seem effortlessly smooth.

Engineered for the Ultimate Running Experience

HOKA’s product team has meticulously crafted the Skyward X to provide an optimal running experience. Starting from the ground up, the shoe features a dual-layer foam system, with a resilient PEBA foam closest to the foot for responsive cushioning, and a firmer super-critical EVA foam near the ground for stability and a smooth toe-off.

The centerpiece of the Skyward X’s design is its innovative convex carbon fiber plate, which mimics the natural suspension of the foot, particularly the arch, creating a sensation of weightless, effortless movement.

The Skyward X also boasts a new flat knit upper designed to offer a snug, accommodating fit. This is complemented by an external TPU heel counter for added structure and an integrated ghillie system for adjustable midfoot lockdown.

Weighing in at 9.2 ounces for a women’s size 8 and 11.3 ounces for a men’s size 10, the shoe offers a 48mm stack height and a 5mm drop, balancing comfort and performance.

Colin Ingram, Vice President of Product and Apparel at HOKA, describes the Skyward X as a product of extensive research and innovation. “We’ve pushed the boundaries of our design capabilities to elevate the daily running experience with unprecedented levels of cushioning,” Ingram explained.

The Hoka Skyward X are now available for purchase on HOKA’s website and through authorized dealers globally, retailing at $225.
