In a bold move that marries innovation with inspiration, Adidas TERREX has announced the commercial availability of its highly anticipated Agravic Speed Ultra trail running shoes. This launch comes on the heels of significant achievements by athletes using a prototype version last summer, setting the stage for a broader release aimed at empowering trail runners everywhere.
Adidas already has some of the best trail shoes on the market with its Terrex series. Terrex Agravic Speed Ultra and Terrex Agravic Speed are adidas premium shoes with carbon fiber plate, similar to the Nike Ultrafly that came out last fall. Already by taking a look at the shoe, you can see that this is something very special.
It’s clear that trail running is something that running shoe brands are investing heavily in right now, and this is reflected in the number of trail shoes with a carbon fiber plate that are currently being launched. Traditionally, trail shoes have had rather poor cushioning, while also being heavy.
Now we have many models that are flexible and light, while having increasingly responsive cushioning.
ADIDAS TERREX AGRAVIC SPEED ULTRA – Revolutionary Technology Meets Trail Running
Adidas has once again set a benchmark in running technology by incorporating elements from its acclaimed Adizero Adios franchise into the Agravic Speed Ultra. This shoe is not just a piece of equipment; it’s a technological marvel designed to redefine speed in trail running.
Featuring adidas’ race-winning innovations, the Agravic Speed Ultra is optimized to offer an unprecedented running experience.
The development of this shoe was guided by scientific research conducted in partnership with the University of Salzburg. The study underscored the critical role of downhill running in ultramarathon performance, a finding that directly influenced the shoe’s design.
The Agravic Speed Ultra integrates LIGHTSTRIKE PRO foam, Energy Rods, and a dynamic rocker geometry, a trio that works synergistically to enhance energy absorption, propulsion, and forefoot running efficiency.
Complementing the Ultra is the Agravic Speed, a shoe tailored for agility and speed in races up to 50KM, featuring a lightweight construction that promises an exhilarating run.
An Exclusive Opportunity: The Agravic Mentorship Program
To celebrate the launch, Adidas TERREX is introducing a unique mentorship program for trail enthusiasts. Participants will gain access to personalized coaching from renowned trail runners Corrine Malcom and Eric LiPuma, along with a suite of support services including sessions with Team TERREX sports psychologists.
The mentorship program is open to six trail runners who excel in the adidas TERREX Strava challenge, a 500-meter contest starting April 8. Winners will embark on a journey culminating in the adidas TERREX Infinite Trails race in Austria this September, complete with a full Adidas running kit and the new Agravic Speed Ultra shoes.
