Nike has today announced the launch of Pegasus Premium, a groundbreaking addition to the iconic Pegasus series, which will redefine the standards for cushioning in running shoes. In Spring 2025, Nike Pegasus Premium will launch, featuring Nike’s first-ever sculpted and visible Air Zoom unit, designed to optimize the heel-to-toe transition with unparalleled efficiency.
Sculpted Air Zoom: A Step Forward
The Nike Pegasus Premium stands out from the crowd with its sculpted Air Zoom unit, a first for Nike, which is designed to complement the natural contours of the foot. This innovative feature ensures a dynamic power transfer with every step, providing a bouncing experience unlike anything before.

Nike Pegasus Premium’s design is inclusive and intended to engage every part of the foot and accommodate different gait patterns and stride lengths. The innovation is a result of the collaboration between the Nike Air Manufacturing Innovation Facility and the Nike Sport Research Lab, where digital tools such as finite element analysis have been used to improve the performance of the Air Zoom device while running.
The Pegasus Premium also features an engineered circular knit upper that provides a snug fit while delivering targeted support where it’s needed most. This is complemented by a dynamic midfoot system, a staple of the Pegasus series, which enhances the shoe’s stability during the run.
